Over four weeks, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 5:45–7am, you’ll progressively learn the Ashtanga sequence, through repetition, breath and steady guidance.
Each class is led, with the teacher talking you through the postures, the breath count and the vinyasa that links each movement to the next. As the weeks progress, you’ll begin to internalise the sequence, so that the practice gradually becomes your own.
Along the way you’ll absorb the rhythm and rituals of a morning practice: rising early, moving with the breath, and building the quiet focus that makes Mysore practice so rewarding. By the end of the series you’ll know the postures by heart and be ready to join our Mysore Mornings, where you can continue at your own pace with individual guidance from your teacher.
This course is especially suitable for yoga practitioners who have a some yoga experience wanting to establish a self-led practice. All you need is a willingness to get up early and we’ll take care of the rest.
