- How regular yoga practice can benefit your physical and psychological health
Why choose a Beginners Course over a general class?
The aim of our beginners courses are to guide you to cultivate a sustainable yoga self practice, or prepare you to attend any class on our timetable. Especially if you are new to yoga a beginners course has many advantages over simply turning up to an open level class. For a start, the class numbers are limited, allowing the teacher to give a high degree of personal attention. Also, each class builds on the skills learnt in the previous class and this means we build the intensity up of the class slowly. So it’s manageable and you can enjoy yourself each class. In a general class there might not be enough opportunity to ask questions. However, because everybody in the course is a beginner, the group dynamic very accepting and comfortable. In our signature beginners courses, it is all about asking questions and reviewing information and it is highly likely, any questions you have will be helpful to others in the class.
Yogahub is a fully equiped yoga studio and we have everything you need. Below are a few tips in preparation for attending a Yogahub Beginners Course.
- Arrive 15 minutes early to your first class
- Let the teacher know if you have any injuries
- Bring a towel and a yoga mat, or use one of the studio mats
- Bring a bottle of water, and hydrate well before and after the class
- Eat lightly before the class if you are hungry, but avoid heavy meals.
- Wear light-weight stretchy clothing for better movement
- Stay right till the end of the class, relaxation is the most important part of the process
- Listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions, and don’t push beyond your limits and only participate to the degree you are comfortable.
- Ask questions! Our teachers are there for you

What our Students are Saying
Favourite yoga studio, great for all levels, I make the effort to travel that bit further here and every time is worth it 🙂
I am so impressed by the highly qualified and experienced teachers, but mostly their ways of teaching that offer you choices and so easy to understand and to progress to the next level. I always feel calm and motivated at the same time when I am at Yogahub.
From the incense smell walking outside to the top class instructors – for beginners to long term yogi’s – everyone will find this is an awesome place to practice yoga!
I highly recommend The Yogahub. I purchased the Introductory Offer which was excellent value and gave me two weeks to try the different types of yoga and instructors. All of the classes were engaging and authentic with high quality, attentive teachers. I also enjoyed the class variety – from very physically challenging to playful to restorative to traditional etc. The ambience of the studio is a good balance of welcoming and zen, good lighting, comfortable temperature, ample props all in good condition, etc. Finally, the other members are all very friendly and helpful, and it is located next to one of the best coffee shops around. In summary – you should go.
Had been a few months since my last class at Yogahub and I forgot how much I loved it. Beautiful studio with wonderful teachers. Definitely recommend 🙂
Being a beginner, I have found the teaching method at Yogahub Perth to be considerate of the abilities and the limitations of the students. Learning of the skill and techniques is done with positive encouragement, informative instruction, and of course, a touch of fun. Mind and body are being educated at the same time. Wide range of classes across levels are on offer to choose from. Loving it and thanks Yogahub Perth!
“Yogahub has been my favourite yoga space ever since it opened – and one of my favourite places and some of my favourite people. Great philosophy, as well as a sense of fun. Sarcha and the crew are lovely. I love the variety of offerings which allow for being in different places in your journey 😻”
“The name says it all; it’s not just a yoga studio, it’s a welcoming hub of wellness and wholeness. So much to learn and gain from the wonderful people there.”
“Yogahub is a lovely studio with teachers who really care. They are knowledgable, patient and teach with humour and genuine love for what they do. This is truly one of my favourite places.”
“Yogahub is well set up to cater for complete beginners through to more advanced yogis and I’ve been going there for the past 6 months. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive and just great people in general. This place is the real deal if you’re keen on learning in a genuine and friendly community.”
