Lucy Sands

Lucy started her yoga journey in 2006, when she was drawn to yoga after suffering back pain during pregnancy. After 10 years of a regular Iyengar yoga practice, she moved suburb and fell in love with Yogahub, where she has been practising since 2016. Lucy was immediately drawn to the 8 limbs and philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga.

Lucy offers plenty of modifications in her classes to suit different bodies. She understands that you don’t need the strongest and most flexible body to reap the benefits of yoga. Her own yoga journey has seen her work through various structural issues in her body making her a compassionate first teacher for beginners taking their first tentative steps onto the mat. Her positive, playful, and supportive nature ensure her students the best possible start to their yoga journey.

A long term practitioner of yoga, Lucy completed her 200hr training under Gregor Maehle and Monica Gauci, and is currently undertaking mentoring with Sarcha Thurston.

Yoga just needs commitment and a desire to connect with yourself. For me, that commitment will last a lifetime.
