Professional Development for Yoga Teachers with Marty Connolly.
The spine, and its associated anatomical, neurological and physiological systems are the crucial component of all asana practice, but between 70-90% of Australians will suffer from some sort of back pain during their lives. Lack of knowledge compounds the fear which prevents many from living a full, active life. Yoga can help. Be part of the solution!
This workshop will cover and help you to:
- Understand spinal conditions and the bony and soft tissue structures underlying them
- Modify your teaching for students with back issues due to injury or natural ageing
- Protect your students from injury by improving your knowledge of spinal dynamics
- Learn how to recognise warning signs and symptoms of more serious pathologies
Help your students get the most from their practice and rehabilitate safely.
This course is suitable for more experienced instructors as well as those new to the Yoga teaching profession.
