Obligation free, brief, informal, relaxed chat with Yogahub owner Sarcha about our yoga teacher training programs for 2024. Sarcha is the lead training on both programs.
We have tried to strike a balance between convenience and meaningfulness in the delivery of our 200hr Training. Perhaps, and proudly so, offering training that is a little ‘old fashioned’, in the sense most senior trainers themselves were originally trained over longer periods of time than what is offered in most trainings today. In designing the delivery of the training, we seek to give trainees the opportunity to assimilate and integrate the content of the program by delivering the program across a generous timeframe, fostering deep unhurried learning.
The Yogahub 200-hour program delivers holistic unhurried learning across the whole system of yoga. Trainees will graduate with a true embodied knowledge of yoga, a high practical skill level, and ongoing meaningful mentoring relationships with trainers as they embark upon their teaching careers.
On any year usually around half the people who enrol in this course are doing so as a means to deepen their practice, rather than teach. Of those, a few have a change of heart along the way and decide to teach after-all. A delightful surprise for all!
Group numbers for the 200hr program is strictly limited to 12 participants to ensure quality of delivery and that one-to-one attention can be amply provided to trainees. In addition, the trainee is supported to develop and mature in their own practice under the guidance of a senior teacher over time. Which we view as an important factor in training great teachers. The program is 10 months in duration and starts in late August 2024.
Our 150hr Mentoring Program for Yoga Teachers is fully registered with Yoga Australia. Applicants can join the program on a rolling basis over the year. Depending on when you start your program it will take between 6 and 12 months to complete. You can apply to start any time.
This program is designed for yoga teachers who are seeking more personal training and one-to-one mentoring from our highly experienced teaching faculty to build on skills gained in foundational yoga teacher training.
Our mentoring program is strictly limited to 6 people to ensure our participating teachers have an immersive and meaningful learning journey, and graduate with an intellectually integrated and embodied knowledge of yoga, that can be applied in both teaching and practice.
It is essential we meet up with potential applications before applying for either the 200hr or 150hr program. This is for both trainee and trainer to see if they are a fit for working together. This includes to asses the trainees readiness for the training and the trainers willingness to offer the required support. Once established then an invitation is extended to apply formally.
