This class is suitable for those who have completed other rehabilitative therapy and would like to practice hatha yoga in a safe, gentle and supportive environment. Many clients use this series to transition into regular yoga classes, with a small number preferring to remain in the class on an ongoing basis. Our Therapeutic yoga is tailored towards those with physical limitations, such as neck, knee and back issues or other degenerative conditions, such as arthritis. The class runs for 60 mins and will include a short relaxation at the end.
The class is run by yoga teacher and physiotherapist, Sam Moylan. Sam specialises in offering yoga integrated physiotherapy treatment and he has a strong interest in the neurobiology of pain science. Sam’s approach is peaceful and inclusive.
This course is designed to be a small manageable commitment to introduce clients to the practice of yoga, or those finding their way back to yoga after an extended break, injury or illness.
The classes runs in a series of three classes on an ongoing basis, with a one week break between series. Those who have already completed the course may continue to attend casually.
